Service Description
Special requirements for classes during the pandemic. This class is a maximum of four students and picture of vaccination card required by email or text within 24 hours of signup. Masks may also be required in class depending on current conditions. This class is the first in a series of three designed to introduce students to the process of fabricating (constructing) jewelry using techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, finishing and polishing. No previous experience necessary! SSI focuses on sawing and texturing, with introductions into soldering, filing, and bezel setting. Students will saw out a shape of their choice in the metal sheet (roughly the size of a quarter), solder on pre made bezel and bezel-set a calibrated cabochon. Class supplies run about $40-45. In this beginning level class, students are not required to provide any of their own tools. If you plan to continue taking classes, you will be expected to be practicing on your own and will need to assemble a basic tool kit. Any tools/supplies you need to purchase will be available during class.
