This class is the first in a series of three designed to introduce students to the process of fabricating (constructing) jewelry using techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, finishing and polishing. No previous experience necessary! SSI focuses on sawing and texturing, with introductions into soldering, filing, and bezel setting. Students will saw out a shape of their choice in the metal sheet (roughly the size of a quarter), Instructor will solder on pre made bezel and student will bezel-set a calibrated cabochon. Class kits run about $45 which is due at the start of class. Starting summer 2023 we will not be requiring vaccine records. Class descriptions may still need updating and we will re-evaluate as conditions warrant but lets hope things continue to improve! Mask requirements will be based on CDC recommendations. If you have any symptoms prior to a class, please let us know and we will be happy to reschedule you to a later date!
Cancellations are inevitable and we will do our best to work with you, but since our class sizes are so small, we need as much advance notice as possible. Cancellations more than 30 days in advance can be refunded, rescheduled or credited. Cancellations between 30 days and 10 days of class will be given store credit or rescheduled. Cancellations with less than10 days advance notice - no refund. If cancelling with no refund, students can use the RETAKE code to sign up for a future class at half price
