If you did this when taking Silversmithing 1, that will meet the requirement. Masks may also be required in class depending on CDC recommendations. This class is the second in a series of three designed to introduce students to the process of fabricating (constructing) jewelry using techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, finishing and polishing. SSII focuses on soldering; specifically pick soldering. Students will be making a chain of soldered links-including cutting their own jump rings! Please note: learning to solder, especially pick soldering, is a skill essential to your success in every area of silversmithing! Prerequisite: Silversmithing I Supply kit for this class is around $55, which is due at the beginning of class. You will also need a Butane torch which can be purchased at the beginning of class unless you bring one from home.
