Special requirements for classes this fall! This class is a maximum of four students and picture of vaccination card required before class. This class is the second in a series of three designed to introduce students to the process of fabricating (constructing) jewelry using techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, finishing and polishing. SSII focuses on soldering; specifically pick soldering. Students will be making a chain of soldered links-including cutting their own jump rings! Please note: learning to solder, especially pick soldering, is a skill essential to your success in every area of silversmithing! Prerequisite: Silversmithing I Please plan to provide all your own consumables. Typical supplies and simple torch will cost around $100. You will be able to purchase anything you need at Veberod Gem Gallery during class. Being able to see clearly is essential to your success, so bring any portable lighting and magnification you are accustomed to using (cheaters, OptiVisor, Telesight).
