Service Description
Special requirements for classes during the pandemic: Picture of vaccination card required by email or text within 24 hours of signup. If you did this when taking Silversmithing 1, that will meet the requirement. Masks may also be required in class depending on CDC recommendations. This class is the third in a series of three designed to introduce students to the process of fabricating (constructing) jewelry using techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, finishing and polishing. In SSIII students will be combining the skills they have already learned to fabricate a custom bezel and turn it into a ring. Please note: Learning to solder, especially pick soldering, is a skill essential to your success in every area of silversmithing! It is recommended that you plan on taking this class at least twice for maximum retention of information or attending open studio if you find you are having difficulty after this class working on your own. The good news is that class repeats are ½ off! Prerequisite: Silversmithing II Kit fee runs around $55
